I had surgery to pull together a clavicle fracture after a motorcycle accident 1 week ago. I am curious about rehab. I am a district manager for a retailer and I spend a lot of time on the computer and visiting stores (driving). What’s a reasonable time frame to safely return to work? I asked the nurse before surgery and she indicated I could in a couple days. That just doesn’t seem realistic.
Originally after my accident surgery didn’t seem necessary but after trying to move my arm enough to use my computer and taking a meeting, I found that my arm was worse and now surgery was required. My main concern is being transparent with my employer on a time frame and not injuring myself worse by working too soon.
