I broke my clavicle bone and seperated my shoulder from my bones soo the doctors decided to do surgery…they put a metal plate in there which i hear they had trouble with placement because im so tiny.. so they put it above the bone instead of under… after the surgery they had me on the every 8 minutes puss button for pain dilated…. after that they put me on 5mg tabs of oxycodone 3 at time which makes it 15mg every 4-6 hours the pain is still very immense after 1 week and i have approx 2 doses left i have made the call into the doc but im not sure they will refill it which makes me verry nervous because the pain is just as great as the day i left the hospital.. so my question is how long after this type of surgery will they continue to perscribe the meds and how long do they keep you on it??
has anyone had this type of surgery and if so what neds were you on and how long?? I have 6 kids so its been kinda hard to rest like they asked that could be one of the causes for the prolonged pain or is pain this long normal??
