well, i received bad news that his break it too severe for it to heal on it’s own and he is having surgery next Thursday to put a plate in it! I need to know, has anyone ever had this procedure done or anyone else that has? He told us that it is going to take 3 months atleast to heal after surgery! Will he have to wear the sling for the whole 3 months during the healing time also? My son is only 15 and is so devistated because he can’t play football this school year! But i need to know though about this prodecure and the pro’s and con’s in the future from this, thank you in advance for your help and advice.
I’m just asking for people that have had it or know someone who has had it done to see how it worked out for them? It HAS to be done because it is almost prodruding through the skin and you can feel it and see it when you look at it. Please don’t critisize me, i am just looking from real people that have had experience with this kind of surgery before.
