Greetings. I am a 34 year old Caucasian male English teacher living in China the last 8 years. I just had a bad bike accident today and injured my collar bone/shoulder.
I was taken to a hospital and am in badly need of some second opinions/advice. First of all I am a poor person… with no health insurance. Secondly health care in China is definitely not up to par with other countries. My options are very limited.
I was given an ray and told that the operation I needed would cost between 10-15000 yuan rmb. Then when the boss saw i was a foreigner they said it would cost 25,000 rmb. This is a huge amount of money for me.
Hospitals here are often unethical.. and I unfortunately am in so much pain and limited funding it is difficult for me to travel to different hospitals for a second opinion.
I need to return to work asap to support my family.
I need to know my options, and the cheapest option available.
You help is so appreciated if you can spare it.

1) Is surgery necessary?
2) The doctor said what sounded like I had torn two tendons off the bone or something. But the translation says:
“The right shoulder is sorrowful place right shoulder lock joint space widened, distal clavicle upward shift”
When I look at the x-ray, I ask myself is my shoulder out of its socket?
3) if it is can they put it back without surgery?
4) Can I heal without surgery?
5)They gave me a harness type wrap, and just a simple splin that lets my arm hang down in front of me. I cant bear the pain when I use it. I have to old my other arm up at like a 90% angle to my mody and need another persons help to do so in order to stand or walk. When sitting I use the arm of the chair for a brace.
Should I make a splint that keeps my arm extended 90 degrees out?
6) How can i make a proper splint?
7) The pain is so bad. They gave me morphine and celecoxib at the hospital. Id hardly helped. When will the pain go away ? I eed help and can not go to the bathroom even alone.

I live here for more than 8 years and my 2 children are Chinese.
I never imagined getting hurt. i should have had insurance. Hinesight is perfect. Thus far I have one person saying I need an operation.. yet from another site I have other people saying operation is not necessary… that it would only be done for looks. I am hoping for more views. The 2nd chinese doc said operate.. but they are financially motivated. Question, if 3 tendons are off the collar bone, can someone tell me if the ball is out of the socket.dislocated? If so does it need to be put back in the socket?
