I had surgery on my collarbone last Wednesday to pin and plate four pieces of bone together (the injury occured 3 weeks prior to surgery so some bone had to be broken in order to realign) . I received morphine for 3 days in hospital before I was discharged with codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen. Unfortunately since being home, despite the pain medications, I am in extreme pain and even moving my head hurts. Is this normal? Does anyone have any advice they can offer? I would really really appreciate it.
